Thuraya’s award-winning Sat Sleeve was the first BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) that allows users to use their Smartphone as a satellite. Simply dock your phone into the Sat Sleeve and you are ready to make calls and transmit data over your cellular network or the Thuraya satellite network. Data download speeds in satellite mode are up to 60 kbps for downloads and up to 15 kbps for uploads on GmPRS.
Sat Sleeve is a great solution for those who want to use their own phone, in areas not covered by cellular service. You need to be in the Thuraya coverage area for the satellite service to work. Then you will have the fastest data speed in a handheld device in the industry.
